Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Nan Westland (June Elvidge) pursues Jeffrey Black (Frank Mills), and this causes his wife Madge (Pinna Nesbit) to seek a divorce. Black heads out West to start over, and when Nan follows, he decides to accept her. They have a child, William, who has an uncanny resemblance to David, his son by Madge. Twenty years pass, and Nan has left Black to marry casino owner Ben Richardson (George MacQuarrie). William (Carlyle Blackwell) has grown up into a shiftless youth with a passion for gambling. David (also played by Blackwell) has come West on a job and his fiancee Kathleen May (Evelyn Greeley) takes a train out to join him. But the train is held up by William, who Kathleen believes to be David, and David is arrested for the crime. William goes to his mother to tell her farewell and her husband shoots him. But as he is dying, he admits to the robbery, which absolves David.
