Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This slapstick one-reel comedy from Vim features the team of Pokes and Jabbs, otherwise known as Walter Stull and Bobby Burns (they also directed the film). Jabbs -- who prides himself on his appeal to the weaker sex -- checks into the Pumpkinville Hotel. He receives an invitation to an afternoon tea and sends his only suit to the tailor's to be pressed. Unfortunately, the shop burns down. Pokes, a burglar, sneaks into Jabbs' room, but he winds up being the victim when Jabbs forces him out of his suit. Leaving Pokes in his BVDs, Jabbs heads for the tea. Pokes skulks around the hotel in an unsuccessful search for a new suit and is pursued by an outraged mob. He finds Jabbs, who has returned from the tea and makes him give up the suit. The nearly naked Jabbs is forced to take cover in a water trough. Also appearing in the film are Billy Ruge and Oliver Hardy, who would themselves make up a comic team at Vim (later on, of course, Hardy would really make history by teaming up with Stan Laurel).
