Synopsis by Alice Day

This series from the Learning Channel provides a wealth of information regarding the universe including the planets in the solar system. Tom Selleck is the host for the programs, and in Practical Guide to the Universe: Fire and Ice - The Outer Planets he looks at Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, the outermost planets. Attention has been focused on Jupiter's moon, Europa, whose surface network of streaks may indicate the presence of water. If so, scientists say that there is a strong possibility that life in some form might be found there.
