Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

Set in Poland just before and during World War II, this drama directed by Wolkeieck Has and written by Stanislaw Dygat looks at the nature of the economic and social elite during this time, and how they interact with the less-privileged majority. These interactions are portrayed primarily through the changes that happen to a young and wealthy man as he starts to grow up, and to the experiences of a young, impoverished woman who marries out of her economic class and into a new life. While melodramatic and critical when examining the upper echelons of society, this drama may be of interest for audiences intrigued by Polish society as it was at this time.
