A young girl named Polina (Veronika Zhovnytska) trains rigorously to become a classical Russian ballerina. But when she becomes a teenager, Polina (now played by Anastasia Shevtsova) grows infatuated with modern dancer Adrien (Niels Schneider), and decides to move to France to learn modern dance under the tutelage of the strict Liria Elsaj (Juliette Binoche). Aleksey Guskov co-stars in this drama, which was directed by Valérie Müller and Angelin Preljocaj.
