Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This melodrama -- a classic tale of a woman wronged -- was based on a hit stage play by Sidney Toler. Marjorie North (Fritzi Brunette) becomes involved with Gordon Trenwith, her boss' son (Charles Gerrard), but it turns out that he is just using her. Marjorie is left alone to bear a child out of wedlock. Jerry Thompson, an inventor (Phil Dunham), and his wife prove to be true friends to Marjorie when they take care of her and the child. John Hayward, a lawyer (Lew Cody), wants to marry Marjorie, but because she knows she is "damaged goods," she turns him down. Bad luck pursues the fallen young woman when her baby falls out the window and is killed. Hayward comes back into her life when Thompson asks his advice regarding one of his inventions. Marjorie discovers that Trenwith is engaged to marry Hayward's sister, so she confesses her affair to save the girl. Hayward goes after Trenwith, and they come to blows. Trenwith is killed by his male secretary, whose wife had also been wronged by him. Hayward is willing to forgive Marjorie for her past, so they are united.
