Synopsis by Alice Day
The forbidding worlds that exist on the other planets are the focus of Planet Earth: Tales From Other Worlds. Viewers will explore the strange and eerie surfaces of Venus and Jupiter through a combination of special effects and actual images of the planets. In these foreign landscapes, it can be seen that life as it currently exists on Earth could not survive under such conditions. Scientists explain the probable origins of the Earth and its evolution, while emphasizing that the planet is still undergoing changes. This program also includes comments from scientists regarding theories about the role of meteors in the extinction of dinosaurs.
