One-time director Paolo Ricagno has created a feature-length video game without player input in this frenetically-paced series of chase scenes. Pirate (Ricagno) zooms by on roller skates as he fights a war with the Supreme Dreamer (Ugo Gregoretti), someone who evilly manipulates the citizenry with his "hat of dreams," a television network. The Pirate must either do battle with these citizens (video negatives) or escape them when he is overpowered. Along the way, he runs into a set of black-leather twins for a moment of violent sex -- but the nighttime, city-wide chase is soon on again. Pulsating, non-stop music and the absence of dialogue, not to mention the style and content of this film, will limit its potential audience to fans of MTV, videogames, comic books, and rock music.
