This surprising exploitation film from Hong Kong was directed by Otto Chan. Both a poignant romance and an erotic softcore piece, the film stars Yip Lang Hung and Li Mei Kee as Jenny and Michelle, a pair of lesbians who strive for societal acceptance, but find solace only in each others' arms. Marred only by an inappropriate and gory ending, Pink Lady is otherwise remarkably candid and sober on the subject of homosexuality, which even mainstream Asian films of the time tended to avoid whenever possible.
