Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Although it was not the first to be released, this was the first comedy Stan Laurel actually made for Universal (it was produced for Nestor's unit, but released through LKO, the comedy unit founded by Henry Lehrman). Mr. and Mrs. Grouch (Walter Belasco and Lydia Yeamans Titus) want their daughter, Grace (Rena Rogers), to marry Jules (Neal Burns), but Grace is in love with Swift (Laurel). Jules proves to be a less than worthy suitor when he takes Grace out and his reckless driving gets them into an accident. It's Swift who comes to Grace's rescue. The couple makes plans to elope, but Mrs. Grouch catches wind of it and disguises the maid as Grace, figuring that Swift will run off with her instead. Grace, however, discovers her mother's plot and gets word to Swift. Jules comes to carry Grace off, and, of course, winds up with the maid instead. Grace and Swift, meanwhile, dash off to be married.
