Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
In this slow-paced story (not one of Satyajit Ray's best works), a wealthy young boy is kidnapped, but then escapes without any memory of his past when the kidnappers' car crashes. The boy is adopted by a caring street entertainer and obtains work in a teashop waiting tables. While there, the leader of the kidnappers comes in and recognizes him -- and the chase begins, for what it is worth.
