Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Described as a hybrid of The Bachelor, American Idol, and Big Brother, this Manhattan-based series was dominated by the presence and personality of professional relationship expert Harriet Cole. The series itself dealt with the efforts -- by Cole, in concert with the woman's best friend and closest relative -- to find a perfect mate for an attractive young woman. Chosen from a field of 25, three eligible bachelors were chosen to live with the young lady (chastely, of course) in the same luxury apartment. At the end of the series, the winner was announced. Perfect Match: New York premiered July 27, 2003.
