Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

The son of a British Chieftain embarks on a divine mission to free his people from bondage as the once-mighty Roman Empire topples, and Saxon raiders lay waste to the Isle of Britain. A.D. 411: the Eternal City is burning, and as the armies of Rome return to defend the empire at home, the Isle of Britain becomes an open target. Naïve Artos grew up in a time of peace, but now that era has ended. The only survivor of a barbarous Saxon raid, Artos is forced into slavery and his will is broken. But Artos' father Justinian the Pendragon had once told him of a vision in which a brave warrior defended their people in a time of great strife, and after fleeing from his captors, Artos experiences that vision as well. Determined to defend his people to his dying breath, Artos ventures to the remote Welsh fortress of Arfon to join British leader Ambrosius in defeating the Saxons once and for all.
