Poland's acclaimed composer-cum-maestro Krzysztof Penderecki leads the Sinfonietta Cracovia (an orchestral ensemble with which he has intimate ties) in this series of interpretations of four of his own compositions. Selections include: Sinfonietta for Strings, Viola Concerto (with Tabea Zimmermann as soloist), Concerto for Flute and Chamber Orchestra (with Irena Grafenauer as soloist) and Capriccio for Oboe and Strings (with Mariusz Pedzialek as soloist).
