Synopsis by Mark Deming

In 1980, Paul Simon was touring in support of his album One Trick Pony (the soundtrack for his first starring motion picture, for which he also wrote the screenplay), and he and his band -- session giants Eric Gale on guitar, Richard Tee on keyboards, Tony Levin on bass, and Steve Gadd on drums -- rolled into Philadelphia's Tower Theatre for a particularly memorable show. Paul Simon: Live at the Tower Theatre features Simon performing such classics as "Still Crazy After All These Years," "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard," "Late in the Evening," "Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover," "The Sound of Silence," and more.
