Ada Voltzik plays Anna, a worker on a Siberian assembly line. A loyal and trustworthy member of the Party, Anna marries a mysterious young fellow (N. Arkisonov) who turns out to be an enemy of the State. When our heroine finds this out, she teams with her former sweetheart (Igor Maleev) to expose her husband for the traitorous heel that he is. Hubby is marched off to a firing squad, while Anna looks on dispassionately, realizing that her sacrifice was for the greater good of the Soviet cause. The overwrought acting in Anna is matched only by the actor's rather grotesque facial makeup.
