Christened the "workhorse" of the German Army for its pivotal role in supporting the Mark III in the Panzer divisions, the sturdy and reliable Panzer IV was a key component to early Blitzkrieg victories in World War II. Produced from 1936 to 1945, the versatile Panzer IV was later utilized by the Syrian service until the final tank was destroyed by the Israeli Army in 1967.
