Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
Pacific Asia has transformed itself in many critical ways over the past 150 years. This ten-part series looks at the specific cultural, economic, and political events that have helped this part of the world continue to evolve and compete with distant countries. During this episode, the lives of Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh and Indonesia's Sukarno are examined to help viewers understand the two leaders' reactions to Western efforts to control their countries' separate destinies.
