Synopsis by Josh Ralske

Velez (Christopher Rivera) tries to kill Guerra (Otto Sanchez) for Alvarez (Kirk Acevedo), but ends up dead himself, leaving Alvarez feeling guilty. A new guide dog training program begins at Oz, run by Alicia Hinden (Toni Lewis). Alvarez, Hill (Harold Perrineau Jr.), and Penders (John Lurie) volunteer, and each is assigned to take care of a dog. Brass (Blake Robbins) tells Rebadow (George Morfogen) he bought the lottery ticket. Brass is attacked by Martinez (Carlos Leon), who throws a cup of all his bodily excretions in the guard's face. When a bloodied Martinez is brought to the hospital unit, he gropes Dr. Nathan (Lauren Velez) and she beats on him some more. Beecher (Lee Tergesen) moderates another session between Said (Eamonn Walker) and Schillinger (J.K. Simmons), but when Said brings up Schillinger's rape of Beecher and the Aryan denies it, Beecher attacks him. Beecher has developed a romantic relationship with Catherine McClain (Sandra Purpuro) and he is worried about her meeting with Keller (Christopher Meloni) to discuss his death penalty case. Convicted rapists Adam Guenzel (Mike Doyle) and Franklin Winthrop (Andy Powers) come to Oz, and it turns out Beecher knows Guenzel from their old suburban neighborhood. The Aryans quickly turn Winthrop into their "prag," but Beecher is determined to protect Guenzel, and asks the Sicilians for help. At Dr. Nathan's suggestion, O'Reily (Dean Winters) contemplates telling his mother (Betty Lynn Buckley) about his ugly past. Jia Kenmin's (Michael Delmare) plot against O'Reily is revealed. Hill, unable to come to grips with his mother's death, starts using heroin again. With Said's help, White (Michael Wright) is focusing on music and avoiding drugs and violence. McManus (Terry Kinney) lets White practice his singing in the janitor's closet, where Redding (Anthony Chisholm) puts him to work. The Aryans attack a young Muslim prisoner.
