A jazz DJ returns to her estranged mother's home in Vermont following a break-up. Once there, she must deal with her bitter feelings for her mother, who abandoned her as a child. Seeking an escape from her troubles, she befriends a landscaper who seems to be hiding a dark and dangerous past.
