A mysterious client seeks to book the Outlaw Star's services to recover a treasure for five million wong. Jim is predisposed to take it ("Starwind & Hawking" really needs the cash), but, for once, Gene urges caution. They accept the job, but a bunch of thugs breaks in on the party. Aisha saves the day, but cooks the restaurant -- sort of. The Outlaw Star goes hydro as the Old Man takes everyone into Heifong 7, the water planet. The Old Man seems wrapped up in mysteries, but Gene takes him on to make him reveal the entire story behind the salvage mission. It turns out that the Old Man is after a fortune in Dragonite. When the Dragonite was originally lost, a pod of fierce beasts destroyed every salvage vessel that ever attempted to recover it. Even more of the Old Man's motives are revealed, many having to do with being an outlaw and following his dreams. Aisha's hearing proves invaluable as the crew goes up against the claw-snapping monsters. Gene, Aisha, and the Old Man board the ancient treasure ship after decoying the monsters away. They discover treasure all right, but it's hard to get to and takes everyone's skill to reach. Once inside, the Old Man nearly breaks down with joy as he is finally able to realize his dream of recovering the Dragonite. The monsters return before everyone can return to the Outlaw Star, but after a battle everyone returns to the control cabin. The king of the monsters grapples with the Outlaw Star's grappler arms, threatening the mission with disaster. The Old Man's actions save the day and enable the ship to depart the water planet. Is the Dragonite all that the Old Man thought it was? How much of a stake can Aisha claim? Jim runs the totals.
