Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This was yet another Northwoods drama released in the summer of 1922, supposedly to cool off sweaty theater patrons with its snow scenes. Englishman Reginald Stannard (Harris Gordon), in search of a mine, shows up at a small French Canadian trading post. His British ways appeal to Marcette Vallois (Barbara Bedford), whose father (Lionel Belmore) runs the general store. But Marcette already has a sweetheart, trapper Pierre Baptiste (Frank Mayo), who feels he now has a rival. Nevertheless, when Stannard is swindled by his so-called friend, Ashleigh Nefferton (Frank Leigh), Baptiste willingly trudges through a blizzard to locate him. Baptiste and Stannard decide to join forces and they find gold. Nefferton jumps the claim but he improperly files the location. Pierre makes it to the records office in time to keep the claim and is ready to give Marcette over to Stannard, who has been seriously injured. But it turns out that Marcette's love for Baptiste never wavered.
