Synopsis by Matthew Tobey

Attempting to trace the history of Irish rock & roll music from its beginnings in the 1950s through the early '80s, this title from Eagel Vision presents viewers with archival footage from television shows and concert films along with interviews with many of the musicians famous for bringing Emerald Isle-styled pop music to the rest of the world. Among those who discuss the roots and growth of Irish rock are Bono and the Edge from U2, the Boomtown Rats' Bob Geldof, filmmaker Jim Sheridan, and the reclusive Van Morrison.
