Synopsis by Mark Deming

Love clashes with fidelity in this comedy-drama from Syria. Amer (Fayez Kazak) is a guy who has found himself in the curious position of playing husband to two different families. Amer is married to Salma (Fadouwa Souleiman) and they have a child, but ten years ago his best friend Zouheir was sent to prison, and Amer promised to look after his wife Nada (Saba Moubarak) and their daughter while he was behind bars. Amer is fond of Nada, who is beautiful and caring, and he often prefers to spend time with Nada than Salma, who can be bossy and short-tempered, especially given her jealousy over the attention Amer pays to another woman. Amer shuffles back and forth between two homes, but while his relationship with Nada remains platonic, clearly the two have feelings for one another despite their loyalty to their respective spouses, and Amer's dilemma becomes all the more difficult when he learns Zouheir may soon be released from prison. Kahrej altaghtya (aka Out Of Coverage) also stars Mohammed Kanouch and Hiroki Okazaki.
