Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Polish director Jan Lowicki's wartime thriller Operation Arsenal unfurls against the backdrop of WWII. The Polish Home Army, a group of heroic, anti-Nazi resistance fighters, send their very finest - a division known as "The Gray Ranks" - on a covert mission to liberate 31 prisoners being transported to the Pawiak Prison. The action doubles the patriotism, determination and commitment of the Polish people for the duration of the global conflict.
