Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Directors Ali Habashi and Sanjeev Chatterjee's documentary One Water examines the deficiency of potable water as it exists on a global scale. By traveling to fourteen countries around the planet whose communities are dramatically suffering from a lack of Earth's most valuable resource (thanks to drought, pollution and other factors), Chatterjee and Habashi underscore the fact that this problem demands a workable and immediate solution but fails to lend itself easily to one. The filmmakers also discuss the vitality of water on twin levels, both spiritual and physical. The men shot and produced the film as an integral component of the University of Miami's 'One Water' environmental project, a global initiative to clean up the world's water supply by promoting conservation and restoration.
