Synopsis by Mark Deming
In this independent drama, Kevin (Jamison Selby) is still coming to terms with the death of his former girlfriend, Jessie (Jessica Queller), a month after she has passed when he receives an unusual message in the mail -- a photograph of the two of them together during a mountain climbing expedition, with "I love you, Kevin" written on the back in Jessie's handwriting. However, Kevin has no idea who could have taken the picture, or who sent it to him, and as he tries to put together the pieces of this mystery, he begins to suspect that Jessie might not be dead after all. One Take marked the directorial debut of Dan Wachspress, who also wrote the screenplay.
