Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Degrassi Junior High alum Anais Granofsky spins this offbeat comedy about a broken family searching for a home and a clue. Willie (Granofsky) and Mo (Ingrid Veninger) are half-sisters who are complete opposites; Willie is a hard drinking, outgoing waitress while the shy introverted Mo pushes papers in an office. When their grandmother who raised them after their mother died passes away, the two estranged siblings come together for the first time in years. Fast-talking Willie convinces Mo that their granny really wants to be buried in the East Coast of Canada instead of British Columbia. And so the two do what any devoted granddaughter might, they steal the body from the morgue, buy a used ice-cream truck and hightail it to Nova Scotia. Along the way, there is the inevitable sundry of rural weirdoes and eccentrics. This film was screened at the 2001 Toronto Film Festival.
