Synopsis by Steven Yoder
On Broadway from director Oren Jacoby is a behind-the-scenes look at many of the most iconic Broadway productions, guided by a number of the top stars of the stage. It traces the stories of these groundbreaking productions, as well as how close Broadway came to shutting down when attendance declined in the 1970s. The film includes performances from James Earl Jones, Patti Lupone, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mandy Patinkin, and Bernadette Peters. Commentary provided by Alec Baldwin, Christine Baranski, James Corden, Viola Davis, Hugh Jackman, John Lithgow, Helen Mirren, Ian McKellen, and August Wilson.
