Officers "444" (Ben Wilson) and Casey (Jack Mower) arrive at Dr. Warren's just in time to pull Frank Haverly (Phil Ford) away from the deadly radio ray. But in the ensuing battle with yet another army of henchmen, The Frog and his female accomplice The Vulture (Ruth Royce) manage to steal away with young Haverly. Masquerading as a scientist, "444" crashes yet another meeting of the Amalgamated Society of Scientists and learns from the strange "Professor Kalium" that the gang and the kidnapped Haverly are holed up at Brown's Road off Humboldt Highway. Unfortunately, snooping about the hideout, an abandoned building, Officer "444" is shot at point blank range.
