D-Shot (Dannell Stevens) makes his film debut with the straight-to-video urban crime drama Obstacles. College student Darell (D-Shot) moves in to the crime circle of his former childhood adversary, the drug-dealer Big June (E-40). Needing to provide for his family, Darell starts to step on Big June's turf by getting involved in his neighborhood dealing. Each trying to protect their territory, they engage in a tragic battle. Features a West Coast hip hop soundtrack with tracks by Kurupt, Too Short, Al Kapone, and more. Director and star D-Shot is a member of the California rap group The Click, with E-40, B-Legit, and Suga T.
