Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Yiorgos Laziridis directed and adapted this amusing Greek comedy from the hit play by Spyros Melos. The story concerns a simple and hard-working taverna owner named Prokopis (Petros Kyriakos) whose diligence has allowed his son Yiannis (Yiorgos Kambanellis) to study in Paris. When Yiannis comes home and marries a wealthy society girl (Gelly Mavropoulou), his father has to be trained to behave properly at upper crust functions. Prokopis, however, eventually becomes the instructor, teaching the privileged class a thing or two about the decency of the common man. Sassa Dario co-stars with Nikos Mattheos and Nana Papadopoulou. The film was remade in 1977.
