Synopsis by Robert Firsching
One of the earliest Greek films, and the first with a religious theme, this silent drama from writer/director Dimos Vroutsanos was never completed. It tells the tale of a young girl studying at a remote monastery in the Cyclades Islands, and how her single-minded devotion and unshakeable faith lead her to see visions of Jesus Christ. Rather hastily edited together from what footage had been shot before the termination of production, the result is somewhat choppy, but it received a theatrical release regardless. Yiorgos Ploutis leads a cast which includes Manolis Filippidis, Aris Malliagros, and Marika Filippidi.
