During a homicide investigation with disturbing racial overtones, Fancy (James McDaniel) has a confrontation with Lt. Abner (James Pickens Jr.), head of the Bias unit and former boss of Det. Baldwin Jones (Henry Simmons). A homicide victim with a distinct and disgusting aroma is found. And Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz) solicits the advice of partner Danny Sorenson (Rick Schroder) when he is asked to take the niece of an old friend on a date.
