Synopsis by Mark Deming
Brothers John Wright and Rob Wright are the leaders of Nomeansno, a smart, nervy and sylisticly eclectic punk rock band from Canada. In their spare time, the brothers Wright also front another group, The Hanson Brothers, posing as hockey-obsessed siblings who revel in everything gloriously dumb about punk and life in Canada. Nomeansno/Hanson Brothers: Would We Be... Live? is a concert video which features full-length sets from both groups, recorded during a pair of shows at London's Camden Underworld venue. Nomeansno's show includes "I Got A Gun", "Valley Of The Blind", "Grabeyard Shift", "Sex Mad", "Can't Stop Talking", and many more, while The Hanson Brothers' set features "Stick Boy", "Road Pizza", "Rink Rat", "My Girlfriend's A Robot", "Joey Had To Go", and lots more.
