Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Brian Ross traces the life and times of Scottish jazz legend Annie Ross, who shot to fame as a child performer and used that auspicious start as the foundation for an enduring career that spanned seven incredible decades. A former lover of Lenny Bruce, Ross struggled with addiction while performing in Paris nightclubs throughout the 1940s, emerged as a talented lyricist in the 1950s, and established a lasting legacy at Covent Garden during the 1960s. Through it all, the one constant in Ross' life was the love for her brother Jimmy Logan, a respected stage and screen entertainer who appeared in such films as Mary Poppins and Captain Jack.
