This Japanese anime film tells the story of a young cat-like boy's fantastic journey though the galaxy while aboard a magical locomotive. As the adventure continues, the train begins to travel through time as well as space. Released in 1985, Night on the Galactic Railroad was directed by Gisaburo Sugii, the man behind the animated motion picture based on the Street Fighter series of video games. This film was based on a story by author Kenji Miyazawa and features dialogue in English and Japanese.
