Synopsis by Clarke Fountain

Animated short features by Yugoslavian Borislav Sajtinac are woven together in this picture to tell a feature-length story. In the story, a man has chosen to take refuge in an abandoned house in order to sleep. Each night, he has a different nightmare. The nightmares' sophisticated imagery, which makes references to Poe, Kafka and Freud, and makes allegorical references to postwar European history, was clearly not designed with children in mind.
