Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Usama Alshaibi's documentary Nice Bombs: A Journey Back to Iraq follows the director as he visits his homeland for the first time in nearly a quarter century. He discusses how the country has changed since his childhood, and shows how the members of his family display their ease around the explosions that happen near their home on a regular basis. Their calm reaction to one of these incidents provides the film with its title.
