Synopsis by Hal Erickson
After giving his "adoptid infink" Swee'pea a spanking (albeit a very gentle one), Popeye sends the naughty youngster to bed without his supper. Before long, however, Popeye is suffering from the pangs of his conscience, which in time-honored cartoon fashion has split into "Good" and "Evil" mirror images. Ultimately, "Good" wins out, and Popeye contritely heads to Swee'pea's room to apologize--only to discover that the kid has run away, and is presently crawling up a dangerously narrow mountain road. This "Popeye" entry marks the return of the traditional "ship-door" opening credits, after four experimental cartoons in which "customized" credit titles were superimposed over the action.
