Synopsis by Janiss Garza

It's too bad that so many of the early pictures put out by the Fox studios were destroyed when a fire broke out in its vaults. Among the films lost are many of the Sunshine comedies made under the excellent supervision of George Marshall. All that exists of this picture is a sketchy continuity that was deposited at the Library of Congress for copyright, and the only actor known for sure to have a major role in it is Oliver Hardy, who would later team up with Stan Laurel to form one of the top comic film duos of all time. This two-reel comedy concerns a movie company that is filming a movie at a local beach. A band of pirates is supposed to kidnap a bevy of bathing beauties, but a group of kidnappers steal the pirate costumes and abduct one of the girls for real. It takes the director a while to realize that he's just seen a crime committed, not a great acting display. He goes to the rescue, and which leads to an underwater chase. The director disposes of the bad guys with the help of a swordfish.
