Synopsis by Alice Day
In this installment of s series of six programs, the Nazis are shown to be obsessed with order, as in their precision displays of marching storm troopers, yet they have only a semblance of actual order within their ranks. Their administration was filled with chaos and inefficiency. The Nazis: Warning From History - Chaos and Consent examines the climate that enabled the Nazis to achieve their leadership, and examines how the active support of the German nation propelled Hitler to power. Many believe that his tyrannical rule forced the Germans into submission, but these programs reveal otherwise.
