Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
This program is part of a PBS series that takes the viewer to some of the world's wildest and most scenic places. This episode, narrated by George Page, takes place off the coast of California. There, as on land, the year is divided into seasons. The program follows their course, as sea creatures mate, produce their young, migrate, and return the next year. Spectacular underwater photography captures the basking shark, gray whales, and giant jellyfish, all on film.
