Synopsis by C. Dwayne Smith
On May 7, 1915, the world was at peace. Until a torpedo shot from the belly of a German U-boat, hiding in the frigid waters of the Irish Channel, shatters a state of the art ocean liner and sends her to a watery grave. While not as famous as the highly publicized wreck of the Titanic, this maritime disaster killed 1,198 innocent passengers and set the stage for impending doom, mistrust, and eventually a World War. Narrated by actor Martin Sheen, this documentary goes beneath the surface to try and shed some light on this tragedy that today still sits in a shroud of uncertainty.
