Synopsis by Mark Deming

Established in 1864, Arlington National Cemetery has been America's solemn and distinguished resting place for military veterans and soldiers who lost their lives in battle, with each of the American wars represented among the over 260,000 men and women buried there. National Geographic: Arlington -- Field of Honor is a documentary which examines the history of one of the world's largest cemeteries, the people who care for the grounds and maintain the facilities, and some of the brave Americans who are memorialized there.
