Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

The Legend of Suriyothai director Chatreechalerm Yukol takes the helm for this ambitious and sweeping two part epic tracing the incredible life story of King Naresuan (Sawasdee Wanchana), who valiantly defended Thailand from Burmese invaders at the end of the 16th Century. Part two follows Naresuan as he makes a formidable enemy in the form of King Bayinnaung's successor King Nandabayin, and forms a powerful alliance to strike back against the ruthless tyrant. At 16, Naresuan was sent by his father to oversee the Phitsanulok region, where he repeatedly demonstrated his impressive military prowess during continued conflicts with Cambodia. Later dispatched to Pegu to represent his father in a meeting with King Nandabayin, Naresuan sensed that the Burmese Empire was in an exceptionally vulnerable position. In the course of Naresuan's visit, an intense rivalry developed between the perceptive prince and the ruthless King Nandabayin. Later, after discovering that King Nandabayin is plotting an attack on him, the newly crowned King Naresuan forges an alliance of nations, and strikes back with incredible might.
