The late nineteenth century Italian composer Temistocle Solera penned the libretto for Verdi's 1842 four-act opera Nabucco. The Teatro Municipale di Piacenza mounted the work on stage in 2004, with a cast that includes Ambrugio Maestro in the title role, Andrea Gruber as Abigaille, Paata Burchuladze as Zaccaria, and Nazzareno Antinori as Ismaele. That live stage production appears in the two-hour video release Nabucco. Paolo Panizza directed and designed the sets; the Chorus of the Teatro Municipale di Piacenza and the Orchestra della Fondazione Arturo Toscanini provide musical accompaniment.
