Unharmed by the explosion, Jack Logan (Robert Frazer) and his friends are saved from the cave-in by the Mounties, who then promptly arrest the former for being in possession of contraband. It is all a ruse, however, designed to draw out the villainous Jean Gregg (Al Ferguson). In possession of one half of the map to the mine, Gregg sends his killer dogs to destroy White Cloud, to whose mane the other half is tied. While a helpless Billy (Buzz Barton) watches with mounting horror, the vicious dogs charge their prey. Original chapter title: "The Killer Dogs."
