Angela (Claire Danes) experiences firsthand the sort of unbelievable horror that almost every teenager must endure when an unsightly zit sprouts from her previously unblemished face. Her utter disgust with her appearance and her angst over her perceived failure to live up to the beauty standard is matched only by Patty's (Bess Armstrong) accompanying anxiety over the appearance of laugh lines on her fortysomething visage.
