Season two of My Name Is Earl gets off to a fiery start as Joy and Darnell quarrel over her upcoming surprise birthday party. Recognizing the opportunity to make up for transgression number 183 on his list ("Never took Joy's side"), former ne'er-do-well Earl does his best to back up the volatile blonde he once called his wife. Later, with the birthday drawing near, Joy finds her attempt to return a television challenged at every turn.
